Game Of Sound is an audio visual software which generates algorithmic music based on cellular automata. The name comes from John Conway's famous Game Of Life. The dynamic system of cellular automata is used to generate sounds and visuals at the same time. The unpredictable states of the automata lead to complex and surprising sounds and visuals.
The software interfaces with Open Sound Control (OSC) to other audio software (pure data, max/msp, Reaktor) which does the audio synthesis.
Game Of Sound can be interactively played by one or more performers.
